So We Just Gonna Pretend That the Costume and Wardrobe In Season 2 of HBO’s Insecure Ain’t Hella Lit?

Obviously, I’m not the only one obsessed with HBO’s breakout comedy series “Insecure,” with the season 2 premier drawing 1.1 million viewers – the show is definitely a hit!

Created by Issa Rae and Larry Wilmore, Insecure centers on best friends Issa (Issa Rae) and Molly (Yvonne Orji) as they try to figure out what to with their messy lives!  Yes, I live for Insecure!  And it’s not all about uncomfortable, awkward situations; the hella  relatable characters bring the show to life.  Each week, I find myself cheering or booing for the characters – they make smart and not-so-smart decisions (just like me.)  The show is intelligent, funny and well written.

So, with all that said, what about the wardrobe this season?  Yass to the costume department, this season Issa and Molly ain’t playing with you hoe’s!  If you watched last season, you know that Issa Rae has lost a little weight, and I feel like this season she is showing a little more skin, and her tee-shirt and shoe game is ridiculous.  Yvonne Orji already looks like a model, but this season Molly’s fashion has taken a more sophisticated approach, and not to mention the new wardrobe for slim and trim Kelli (Natasha Rothwell) and Tiffany (Amanda Seales) who play Issa and Molly’s besties.

Here are some of my favorite looks from Season 2!  And HBO has renewed Insecure for a third season!! YAY

  1. I REALLY wanted to find the denim outfit Molly wore in S2/E4 (I think the event the girls were going to was called Kiss n Grind”?), but apparently it ain’t happening! Every single thing she wore except for that one!
