Black Hollywood and Activist Shine at Time 100 Gala

It was a star studded affair Tuesday night at Lincoln Center in New York City as the world’s most influential gathered for this year’s Time 100 gala.  The annual event honors impactful leaders in a variety of sectors from science and politics to the Hollywood elite.

Among those honored included; Women’s March leaders Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, Carmen Perez.  Media personality Trevor Noah, actress Viola Davis, director Ava DuVernay, NFL’er Colin Kaepernick, Director Barry Jenkins, Chance the Rapper and Olympic fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad.
