Fashion designer Iris van Herpen marries precision and meticulous handcraft, inventive technological solutions, and a striking, futuristic aesthetic.
Organized by the High Museum of Art, Atlanta, and Groninger Museum, The Netherlands, Iris van Herpen: Transforming Fashion gathers seven years of van Herpen’s original haute couture for this exhibition: her first North American tour, which is currently in Pittsburgh.
Side Note: Solange wore an Iris van Herpen design to the 2017 Grammy Awards where the signer won her first Grammy Iris Van Herpen : Runway – Paris Fashion Week – Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2016-2017
Now showing at Carnegie Museum of Art (CMOA), the exhibit presents 15 of her collections across a bewildering range of materials and techniques.
